Common reasons people get turned away

  • Photocopies or phone photos of documents: only original hard copies are accepted (printed electronic documents are fine for residency).
  • Expired documents, or bills and statements older than 90 days.
  • A marriage certificate certified by a church instead of the county clerk.
  • Flying with only the temporary paper: TSA accepts only the permanent card, so apply at least one month before you travel.
